Some facts aren’t always important to know but they are often fun to read. Things like, who invented the name Cordoba Cup and how many meat balls do the participants eat. Here are some not-so-important facts about the Cordoba Cup.

Cordoba Cup was started in 2006 as a joint project between the Cordobesa Football League and Dominio Futbol ®. Since then Ignacio Porfirio is the single owner of the tournament. The name Cordoba Cup was invented by Mr. Ignacio Porfirio.

The most successful club ever at the tournament is Instituto ACC from Argentina with 30 victories. The club is also the one with most teams taking part.

Two countries have been represented during all years: Argentina and Chile.

The most popular meal at the housing is milanesa with french fries.

An average year about 7,000 goals are scored, that is more than 3 goals per match.

In total about 800 games are played and 100 soccer balls are used.

Cordoba Cup has 5 agents in 8 countries to promote the tournament.
